- Any combination of 2 or more can achieve significant individual influence or power
- Power gained by the individual is quite unlikely to be automatically transferred to benefit the organisation
if not backed up by at least one other source of power leaves the
incumbent very exposed to the power gained by others in a position of
lesser authority and/or seniority
- Knowledge is becoming
an increasing source of power, particularly by people without a
significant position and/or without a strong public personality
